Greetings! My name is Teresa Lehman and I am a lover of adventure. One of the biggest adventures I embark on every day is the adventure within my classroom walls. I am a third grade teacher with the Tuscarora School District in Pennsylvania at St. Thomas Elementary. I have been teaching at St. Thomas Elementary since 2008. While at St. Thomas I have taught both 3rd and 4th grade. Before starting at St. Thomas Elementary, I was a substitute is local districts and taught 2nd grade at Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland. I love bringing all of my passions to the classroom, and my biggest passion now is the Iditarod.
I graduated from Eastern Mennonite University, in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 2004, with a teaching degree. I later earned a Master in Education degree from Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in 2014. And then in 2017, I earned a Math Coaching Certification through Penn State Harrisburg.
When I am not in the adventures of the classroom you can find me outdoors. My hobbies outside of the classroom include traveling, backpacking, hiking, kayaking, biking and camping. Some of my favorite adventures include being a cook and sage wagon driver for a cycling group biking across the United States from Oregon to New Jersey, backpacking and hiking in the Yoho National Park in British Columbia, Canada, and traveling to Israel.
I am excited for the next adventure being part of the Iditarod, as a Teacher on the Trail TM finalist for 2021. Let the adventure and memories begin! Let’s Go!
